It is indeed fitting that the venerable and greatly loved "School Car" has found its final resting place in Sloman Memorial Park, amid surroundings similar to those where it served so well for so long.
A volunteer Board of Directors oversaw the reconstruction and renovations that included thousands of hours of restoration work, much of it on a volunteer basis, to refurbish the car as you see it today.
The School on Wheels Railcar Museum is an important part of the community of Clinton - drawing many tourists to the area each year. It is the aim to continue to promote the museum in order that Clinton remains a vibrant town and is seen as a valuable tourist destination.
